100% Linen Yarn-Dyed Mini Shirt Dress

A shirt dress in yarn-dyed linen, cut mini with an A-line swing so it moves instead of clinging. The stripe runs through the yarn itself, not printed on top. Half sleeves and a shirt collar mean you can button it to the neck on a cool morning or leave it open once the day turns.

The fabric

100% linen at 145gsm, a mediumweight cloth with enough body to hold the A-line shape without going stiff. It's opaque and has no stretch, so it's the linen doing the work of keeping air moving, not lycra doing the work of holding you in.

The fit

Cut regular through the shoulders and relaxed through the body, with a shirt collar and half sleeves that stop above the elbow. The A-line silhouette kicks out gently from the waist and finishes at mini length.

How to wear it

Buttoned up for the office with flat sandals, or open over a swimsuit walking back from the beach.

Care

Machine wash cold, hang to dry in the shade. Skip the tumble dryer and iron warm while still slightly damp if you want the creases out — most of us don't bother on the north coast. Linen softens with every wash — this one's designed to get better, not worse, with wear.
