The fabric

100% linen, 145gsm, a mediumweight opaque cloth with no stretch. Garment-dyed dark purple, so the colour sits in the weave rather than on top of it, and won't crack or peel the way a printed colour can over time. It has enough weight to hang properly through the leg without needing a lining.

The fit

Regular fit, mid rise, tapered through the leg. It sits at the natural waist and narrows towards the ankle, a cleaner line than a straight leg for a desk all day. The decorative buttons run along the waistband as the one visible detail, otherwise it's a plain, no-nonsense cut.

How to wear it

Tuck in a linen shirt and go straight into the office. The tapered leg works under a blazer or on its own with a simple top once the day turns warm, and it sits close enough to the ankle to wear with low sandals without extra fabric bunching underneath.

Care

Machine wash cold, hang to dry in the shade. Avoid the dryer. Iron on a warm setting while damp if you want the creases out, or let them sit, that's part of wearing linen.
